Keyboards and Mice question

Hello everyone,

I am very new to Ubuntu... so new in fact that I still do not have it but I am in the
process of getting everything I need to build my next computer. My issue is I have been
seeing a lot of people having issues with their keyboards and mice not working
properly in that num lock and caps lock turn on and their keyboard stops working.

My question is which keyboards and mice are supported by Ubuntu?

In general, avoiding Logitech is a good move, they flat refuse to support Linux in any way.
