Enter button key not working ubuntu11.04

In a terminal, does it generate an event?

Does it happen as another user?

The enter Key is completely not operational . I tried another user. Still with no success. Also tried the xev as you requested. in the terminal. Hard to enter the information when the enter key doesnt work. all the other keys work. this is a laptop. I never had any problems with ubuntu until this 11.04 came out. Is there a fix for this bug? Thank you

the enter key acts like it is shut off..

I was able to use the onboard keyboard to use the enter key here are the results of xev.

is anyone else having the same probelm with 11.04 and keyboard functiions? to the point I really dont llike ubuntu 11.04 . need info quick. thank you.

I WAS ASKED ,DID YOU RUN XEV TO SEE WHAT EVENT HAS HAPPENED?. I DID THAT, NOW WHAT?? I STILL HAVE NO WAY TO USE MY ENTER KEY ON MY LAPTOP. I HAVE TO USE , ON BOARD ACCESSORY TO PUSH ENTER,"MAJOR PAIN" WITH ALL THE BUGS SHOWING UP ON KEYBOARD ISSUES, FIGURE A SOLUTION WOULD BE IN STORE.
 HOW DO I UNINSTALL UNBUNTU 11.04 COMPLETELY. I THINK THE NEW UPDATE TO 11.04 WAS A LITTLE TOO SOON . HAS ALOT OF ISSUES AFTER READING ALL THE POSTS. I STILL HAVE NO SOLUTION FOR THE KEYBOARD AND HOW TO READ THE XEV/ HELP PLEASE..

Sorry but I cannot see very well, Yes i was shouting at least I got a response.Will log again to a bug specialist , this is very frustrating will buy a new computer and not use ubuntu. too many issues. thanx
