evdev driver seem not to work on N-Trig devices for rotation (Swap and Inversion of Axis))

Asked by Guillaume Anciaux

Hi everyone and thank you for your help.

I own a Dell XT2 laptop which has a touchscreen with N-Trig device chip.
It used to work very nicely and still does for general purpose.

But I had scripts to rotate the screen and the touch screen axis with it.
To do so the script used xinput and was changing the properties "Evdev Axes Swap" and "Evdev Axis Inversion" with commands like

xinput --set-prop 13 "Evdev Axes Swap" 1

But for a while now, this commad as no effect anymore (maybe since last update).

I know that the dev number 13 is the correct one because if I Disable the device the touchscreen stop working at all.

The evdev driver might be broken. Someone could give me help about this issue ?

Thanks a lot.
