Problems with Ubuntu on new motherboard

Asked by dean sherwell

Can some one help with this problem?
I recently upgraded my desktop hardware and now have an asus F1A75M LE motherboard with AMD processor, I have reinstalled my Windows 7 and Ubuntu software, Window operating fine Ubuntu 12.04LTS simply goes to a purple screen and freezes. Do I need a particular video driver to run on this system? If so where can I find and how to install...remember I am unable to access Ubuntu at all. Thanks D

The required additional drivers load in version 11.04 so you need to have that version loaded in order to upgrade to 12.04 and have it run properly.
