impossible to let work scanner EPSON Perfection 2580 Photo under Ubuntu 12.04 31 bits with Xsane scanner

Hello there

Computer HP Pavillion p6243 rPC
Scanner Epson Perfection 2580 PHOTO

Have installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bit and Installed from software centre Xsane.
It worked one time and very short. After a new computerstart, according the message scanner could not be found.

Tried a new installation of 12.04 but without results in finding the scanner.

Have medium experience in Ubuntu till sofar.

Help is pretty welcome
