desktop is not visible after booting only cursor is visible

after installing the ubuntu when i restart the system it is not showing the desktop only cursor is showing how to make visible of my desktop without reinstallation?

when i click ctrl+alt+f1 it is showing command prompt. and to come back to gui i clicked alt+f6 then also desktop is not displayed??????????????

To help you better we need some additional informations about your graphics video card hardware press ctrl+alt+f1 make login with your user and password then type the row below into terminal then press enter:

lspci | grep -i vga

Please paste the terminal result here.
