I cant play linux games because they are too laggy and I have a good GPU.

For some reason, I cant play games such as Alien Arena because they are WAY to laggy. Yes I have VERY quick internet. My specs: AMD Phenom II X4 3.0 Ghz, 4GB DDR3 1800 RAM, Nvidia Geforce 9500 1GB. It should be able to run this game. It also has the same problem with games that I use WINE to play such as Day of Defeat or Counter-Strike Source.

I have a very similar GPU (9600) and here is what mine looks like.

11174 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2234.695 FPS
14927 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2985.361 FPS
13784 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2756.693 FPS
14855 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2970.948 FPS

Can you help with this problem?
