Display Setting Problem

I just install Ubuntu and i have some display problem, It only shows 800X600 and 640X380 resolution, how can i change it to higher resolution.

I have dual boot system Windows and Ubuntu. On Ubuntu everything just work perfectly fine

Can you give the output of:

sudo lshw -C display

Alright so go to System -> Preferences -> Display and see if you can
change your resolution there, also while in System menu go to
Administration go to the hardware drivers and check out if you have any
of the restricted drivers turned on.
