I use Ubuntu 9.10 development release on a few computers with Ati cards with no issue.

You can test the Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, now in alpha4 stage, by yourself making a live install cd from iso image, i suggest you to download it using the official torrent link

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/9.10/alpha-4/karmic-desktop-i386.iso.torrent

or

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/9.10/alpha-4/karmic-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent

Hope this helps

I just installed xserver-xorg-video-openchrome_0.2.903+svn758-0ubuntu1_i386 driver. I may take two week or more to download the live CD as my Internet is a dial-up one. But the problem is, even though i installed the driver, graphics is not enabled. How can i solve this problem?
