totally blank screen after download.

HP PAV DV4 with 64-bit Vista with Service Pack 1
# 2.1GHz AMD Turion X2 RM-72 Dual-Core Mobile Processor.After downloading ubuntu and restarting,I powered down and later i was unable to logon to vista or ubuntu.totally blank screen.I can 't even go into safe mode.nada,zip,zero,nuthin.

I can't fix your problem
I have been asking for about three days how to recover my desktop, which sounds related to your issue. I upgraded from 8.01 to 9.04 and now the desktop is unusable.
 I am about ready to give up but not to Windows.
 I hope they help your repair or bug fix or whatever they do here . I sure do not get a responce here .
Thanks for listening . I am just feeling alone on my problem , even using the main report a problem is not noticed here for me. Karma maybe?
