Repeating keys in Open Office 3 under Intrepid

In Open Office 3 under Intrepid (kernel 2.6.27-11), after software update today (which requested restart), keys repeat i.e. if a few characters are quickly typed then the set of characters keeps on repeating endlessly. This behaviour does not apply to any other application e.g. not Firefox, Terminal commands, Evolution new mail.

Not a bug. Due to defective battery in laptop!
