Cant seem to get video to work propoerly on a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop

Asked by dansm`5

I just installed v8.10 on my Compaq Presario 2100 laptop.

All works well except the video card is not configurable. The symptom is that
windows don't display correctly on-screen. I have no way to change screen
resolution in the control preferences.

Here I have a similar laptop go to
System>Administration>Hardware drivers
Install one of the drivers on the list.
Reboot after its finished.
The display should be fine after that.

Hope that helps

lspci
may give you some information. However shane's suggestion might be a easier way. Do as he says and install the appropriate driver :)

Can you help with this problem?
