hi,

I have ubuntu 8.04 alpha 5 and same problem.

Sometimes all icons from all desktops disappears after restart - they are not there even for a second
and sometimes they disappear after some time.

if I check them using ls command in Desktop dir they are there.

If you need some configs (I do not know which one to pase) please ask for them.

:)

Peter

Hi kkazmierczyk,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
