When you say enhanced drive, do you mean the restricted driver from System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers ?

You might be able to get boot into ubuntu and at the login screen go to Sessions and choose failsafe. This should allow you to get in with the default vesa drivers and then uninstall whatever drivers you had installed.

Hope this helps

If that does not work you can always do this

Start your computer normally and hit ESC when you see Starting Grub. This will give you the grub menu.

With the use of the arrow keys, highlight the title of your choice you want to edit (the first Ubuntu entry should be ok) and press "e" to go to the entry editor interface. You will now see the boot entries for the title you selected.

Highlight, again with the use of the arrow keys, the line that say "kernel" and press "e" to edit that line.
Add, without the quotes " vga=normal" and press the enter key to go out of edit mode.
Press the "b" key to boot your system.

Making this change will have no impact on your installed system and is to be considered safe. If you reboot your system this change will disappear. It is temporary.

Now you can uninstall your new drivers and setup the old ones back up.

Can you help with this problem?
