Fresh Install 12.10 HP G series Laptop Black Screen

I am new to the world of UBUNTU so be gentle. I installed a fresh version of 12.10 on my laptop and now the laptop display stays black (no back light) but if I connect an external display it works just fine. My graphics are intel sandybridge mobile, 64 bit system. I have tried everything I know, but nothing has worked. If anyone could help that would be amazing!

Did you tried you brightness key ?? please try once .. try to increase brightness

its can be trick many user found it works

if no help .. try nomodset in grub.conf .. Follow this
