I suggest trying all the suggestions in the following bugreport:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/997170

If those suggestions do not help, then I suggest switching to a different desktop environment, like lxde or razor-qt.

Please run these commands in a Terminal to install razor-qt and lxde:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:razor-qt/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install razorqt razorqt-desktop lxde

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask LionRock for more information if necessary.
