Touch not functional

Asked by Thomas Yiu

I have a Flytech All in One with touch function with Atom 1.66Ghz, 1GB DDR2, 160GB, Resistive touch unit.
I installed Ubuntu 11.10 operating system.
I am trying to install xfdrvtouch_drv to your OS.
I install the xfdrvtouch_drv to /usr/bin/xrog/modules/input
I copy all calibration software to /usr/local/bin: FreeDraw, Linear232, Calib_3P232, touch.calib
I copy the xorg.conf from installation folder to in /etc/X11

changes are:

InputDevice "Touchscreen0" "SendCoreEvents"

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Touchscreen0"
Driver "xfdrvtouch"
Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS0"
Option "ScreenNo" "0"
Option "Rotation" "0"
Option "SwapY" "0"
Option "DebugLevel" "0"
Option "UpSound" "1"
Option "DownSound" "1"
Option "RightButtonON" "1"
Option “XRandrSetting” “800x600+0+0"
EndSection
Device

after I install everything, no touch functionality.
I try different ttyS ports and still no not functional.
I know hardware is okay, I tested it in Windows 7.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Sincerely,
Thomas Yiu

Have you tried Precise or Quantal? The newer kernel and drivers may make it work out of the box.

I will check if customer can use the new kernel. What version are you talking about?

Can you help with this problem?
