Not a bug. User installed nvidia driver directly on an Optimus system and now the Intel GPU does not work.

Your system has an integrated Intel GPU and a discrete nvidia GPU (aka "Optimus"). Installing the nvidia driver directly will cause problems with the 3D operation of the Intel card.

You should either
a) go into the BIOS and disable the Intel PU (though using the nvida GPU all of the time will consume more battery)
b) uninstall the nvidia driver and follow directions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee
