Screens found, but no useable configurations?!
Okay so I posted a few days ago but got an incomplete answer, this has happened with 2 cards now, a GeForce GT210 and a GT430. With a clean install of ubuntu 12.04, both will load fine on the inbuilt drivers, but the minute you install the restricted drivers, or even the actual Nvidia ones (After disabling the Nouveau drivers), ubuntu will get to the loading screen on boot-up and freeze.
A quick scan in "Failsafe Graphics Mode" reveals that for both cards, regardless of drivers (Unless none are installed) it shows up saying that screens were found but there was no useable configuration. the only way it'll run on the card again is by freshly installing ubuntu, but then the card is slow as hell...
I was prompted to run "sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep nvidia" by a member, and the output was:
snaphappyalex@
*-display UNCLAIMED

Now what I will say is that neither card is in at the moment, or at the time of running that test as I cant get them to run in X. Im very new to linux (3 days) but I learn fast :D
What am I doing wrong here guys?
