Device Manager

Hi,

I installed ubuntu 12.04. I have problems on installing graphics drivers. First of all, how can i check device drivers from this new gnome. system->administration->device manager opritons. I dont like to use classic gnome. Second how i will install ati display adapter drivers from archive.

What you need is jockey.

Type this in ubuntu dash(left upper corner -> click -> than type.

Start that program and activate the driver that is offered. There should be a "normal" variant and an updated.

There are some issues with the updated variant installing it over the normal one. Try a little bit arround to see what works.

You can also access jockey from system administration -> additional drivers.
