Black screen after upgrading ubuntu 11.10

Hi, I am having completely blank screen after I upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10.
I am novice user, using ubuntu since last few years but this time i am not able to solve the problem through forums.
I can only able to go into GRUB mode but not TTY1.
I will appreciate if someone provide me the solution.
I am using ubuntu on my laptop ACER 5315.

Try the boot option:

nomodeset

Hi, sorry for being late, as I am not too good , can u explain me from where I had to type this command?
I had only access to GRUB Mode.
