Linux 3.0.0-16-generic does not work Help!

I am new in Ubuntu and i like it but i am having some problems, I am fixing a lot with help of the internet but now i dont know what to do
I use the app boot repair and it gave me this url.

Well, first let me tell you my problem
when i turn on my computer it show me choose "Ubuntu, with linux 3.0.0-16-generic" and when i choose that my computer wont start, the fan is working and i can see that the monitor is working but i dont have an OS, i waited a lot but nothing happen. To load an OS i have to choose the option that say "Previous Linux versions" and then choose "Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.38-8-generic".
I really dont know what to do. I want to restart my computer and see the OS but i cant because of this.

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a

I solved the problem by installing again ubuntu 11.10
Now i have some other problem but i will post a new question thank you!!
