looking for list of compatible graphics cards

have a soyo board with amd athalon xp cpu, pc3200 ram and geforce 6200 grap card. would like to use it to familiarize myself with a linux system Ubuntu. Looking to find where compatibility information is for drivers.

Two weeks ago I installed a EVGA 512MB Nvidia GeForce 6200 in an older Dell Dimension 8100. If you use Nvidia accelerated driver (version current), you should not have any problems. It works fine on dual boot Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.04.

Nvidia make awesome video drivers for Linux. Newer Intel chips have decent drivers and newish ATi drivers has awesome drivers too.
