Video playback crashes my sytem

Asked by pratheeshps

I have an Asus Motherboard [A7V400-MX ] with Windows XP Pro & Ubuntu 11.04.I cannot play a video in any of the players.I have
installed all the codecs mentioned & different types of players. Video player[including VLC, Gnome player] plays videos for a
second and then LOGOFFs. Every program running would be closed. As soon as my PC logoffs ,the screen displays this
"Ubuntu 11.04 ..Checking battery state" and the presents the User accounts. I have searched on the Internet and installed
very possible codec available but of no use. I even re-installed it but that is not helping me at all. I have no graphic card installed.
I have an AMD sempron processor 1.67 Ghz processor bought in 2006. In XP, Video playback is smooth and have no issues.

Can I find me a solution?

Make another!!

Your system can hold THOUSANDS of local users. What sort of modern OS would only be able to maintain a single user account.....
