how can I adjust desktop settings in Kubuntu?

Asked by Remon

Dear helper,

I have got Kubuntu installed on my desktop and running a 37'' widescreen lcd.

The monitor is connected by a DVI to HDMI adaptor and a HDMI kabel.

In windows the desktop fits perfectly in the screen. But with Kubuntu the desktop is bigger than the screen!

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

Remon

I think you can set this in the Nvidia or ATI software. I had the same problem, despite setting the right resolution, it was too big or too small. I had to change a setting to make it fit, but I can't remember even its name... So if you are using a proprietary driver, maybe it's worth checking the setting. I can't promise it's the solution to your problem, but it's worth checking.

Can you help with this problem?
