Unable to install Ubuntu Maverick on Touchsmart tm2 1050ef

Hi,

I've tried lucid and maverick install on Touchsmart tm2 1050ef, and I'm hitting the same bug. The screen goes black just after the grub page. I don't have any possibility to switch to another console, the screen remain black.

On this hardware, they are an Intel + ATI hybrid card.
How can i do to install Ubuntu on it ?

No, it's not working. This laptop have dual screen intel/ATI. It's not a nvidia problem.

Ok, xforcevesa have resolve my trouble.. but i've found a really weird bug.
When the laptop is powered, screen is black.
When the laptop is on battery, screen is working.

I think that then the power cable is used, the computer switch and use the best graphics card.. ATI.
If not, he use the economic one...

Should i write a bug report anyway ?

Log a bug with acpi is all I can suggest.
