Auto repeat does not stop when shift is pressed

Asked by wj313

The situation is as follows: If I hit a key (say 'n') within xorg, the auto repeat kicks in. If I press another key (say 'c') the auto repeat stops.
But if when I hit the shift-key during auto repeat, the auto repeat will not stop.

How do I stop the auto repeat, if the shift key is pressed?

As the source of the xorg server is pretty large, where do I have to start looking?

Kind regards.

I don't think that any auto-repeat feature is supposed to stop when you press shift, as shift is not an input character but rather modifies what the final character will be (a to A and such)

Can you help with this problem?
