In 10.04 the default is ALT+SysRq+K (the SysRq button on my keyboard is Print Screen), but you can certainly use ActionParsnip's link above to switch it back to CTRL+ALT+Backspace if you wish. To restart X from a command line you can use the command "sudo service gdm restart" as another option (assuming Gnome, use "kdm" instead of "gdm" if you use KDE).

Best of luck,
George

I always re-enable it, it was changed because some people were pressing it and losing work despite it working for so damn long. Glad it can be changed back. No idea WHY you'd press it by accident but it's how it is now.

(Sounds like a small group of idiots spoiling a LONG standing thing for the rest of us)

@ActionParnsip the CTRL+ALT+Backspace was changed for "accessibility" reasons of some sort - there was a conflict, where the ctrl+alt+backspace would be entered non-accidentally with a very different intent then restarting Xorg by people using "accessibility" software of some sort.
