my 10.04 says it is in low mode resolution and won't start

It won't starrt so I don't know.
After the screen announcement it goes to another screen where there are 4 options, and none of them do anything.
Only xp works on this disk.

Like I said: Ubuntu won't start so I cant sudo it.
