Acer Aspire One netbook with desktop edition ubuntu spontaniously crashes back to low-graphics mode

Asked by Sean Hilliard

While using my acer aspire one netbook with an intel atom n450 running the desktop version of Ubuntu (10.04) while in normal graphics mode, the computer will eventually, and reboot my computer and prompt me to boot into Low-Graphics mode, it should be known that this also occurred with the netbook remix. Does anyone have any clue what this could be caused by and how to solve it. Thank You.

Boot the system. Hold shift and you will see the grub menu, select the memory tester to see if it is healthy.

I ran the memory tester and it said everything was healthy. What should I, if there is anything else, do?
once again, thank you
