Rodrigo, one thing I'd like to check: are these all different source package names or are they binary package names?

Christian,

all packages above have the same source and binary package names.

Stuart,

the test migration on staging.launchpad..net seems to be ok. The only (minor) issue I found is that migrated bugs still show the old package name on their description.

Please feel free to complete the migration, if this is the expected behavior.

In the "binary package hint" text? I think that text just needs to be
updated to say "This bug was originally reported against the binary
package %s".

No, I'm referring to the "Affects" field, inside the orange box.

When you click on +editstatus, the old package name is also shown, instead of the new package name.

Them I'm confused, because if that didn't change, the migration wasn't
done. What /did/ change to make you think it did? Perhaps an example URL
will help me verify differences between staging and production.

Unfortunately it seems the database on staging was cleared (and thus, lost this migration).

What changed is that, for example, bugs for xserver-xorg-driver-ati now show for xserver-xorg-video-ati, here -> https://staging.launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-driver-i810/+bugs

Scratch that, the database was not cleared (or it was restored a few moments ago :) )

Take a look at the above link, and you'll notice the old bugs for xserver-xorg-driver-i810 show correctly on bugs for xserver-xorg-video-i810.

Now open an old bug, such as https://staging.launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-driver-i810/+bug/41390, and you'll notice the "Affects" field is incorrect. Finallly, if you click on +editstatus, the "Package" field will be already filled, with the name of the old package.

With the name of the new, correct package I think you mean: it says xserver-xorg-video-i810.

The reason that happens is that Stuart didn't run the update-target-name-caches script that needs to be run after we do modifications like this. He'll do this once it's run in production.

If that's the only issue, then I am happy with giving this a thumbs up.

All done except for running update-target-name-caches, which will kick in in an hour or three.
