Better support of Wacom Intous4 tablets?

The tablet is a new Wacom Intous 4, I actually get input from it but it is vary poor and the function buttons dont work. Pressure sensitivity is nill, " it acts as if im putting full pressure" and the resolution it draws in is horrible.
I have looked into this online and haven't found much, there is a patch somewhere but people say it only fixes the bamboo series.
