Wacom Bluetooth Tablet doesn't work in 9.10

Asked by CraigMcW

when I first installed Ubuntu 9.0x, I was able to install the Wacom drivers and the tablet worked. It continued to work through several upgrades. With 9.10, however, activating the tablet causes the entire system to freeze.

are there new drivers for Wacom? I've looked and couldn't find them. Is there a solution?

support for wacom is now built into the kernel. One can search the forums and find articles about how to enable it.
