Xorg tslib package broken (fails)

Asked by Craig Lafferty

I have a USB built in touchscreen for my Dell Mini 9. When I freshly install Ubuntu 11.04 and install updates, it works for a couple of days. Then it just stops working and when I try to reinstall the xorg tslib touchscreen driver, synaptic gives me an error saying that the package is broken. I attempted to download the package my self but the software manager says "Dependency is not satisfiable: xorg-input-abi-13. Also, it doesn't crash while I'm using it; it just won't work once I reboot the computer. When I press on the screen now, the mouse shoots all over the screen to different places really fast.

Thank you very much for the information. Is there anyway to "fix" the broken package? And if not, should there be a solution soon since there is a bug report on it? I paid a lot of money for the touchscreen and really need it for my classes. Thanks again.

Can you help with this problem?
