Is there any way to disable CTRL+L shortcut in xchat only?

When I hit ctrl+L shortcut in any tab of xchat it clears the screen, similar to the bash. Is there any way to disable that shortcut for xchat only?

It's quite annoying in xchat but it's very useful in other places.

No, there isn't. As long as you don't want to dive into the source code and change it there. Unfortunately, it's hard-coded.
