can not connect on freenode for #mepis

I can connect with x-chat on other servers. It was working til yesterday, then just quit. It stops at checking ident.

How long did you wait?
Checking ident can often take some time.
Try to just wait.. see what happens.

do oder irc networks work?
maybe try a different nick,reconfigure your firewall.
