How to configure xchat with tor ?

How can i configure Xchat using tor i had given ports configured but its unable to connect servers

Generally when I setup XChat with ToR I use Privoxy and then I just go to the XChat connection settings and put in 127.0.0.1 and the ToR port and it connects fine.

ToR is generally really slow due to the amount of people who use it and the limited number of relays so sometimes it can take a few attempts to connect to a IRC server and some irc networks totally block ToR
