cannot receive DCC file transfers

i use feisty, I install xchat gnome with apt-get, I receive file from DCC file transfers, but the progress bar indicate nothing, and i did not receive any file at all

Chances are it is on the senders side. They probably didn't forward the port correctly.

Try typing this in the xchat-gnome window, works for me (same problem as you)

/set dcc_auto_send 1

Confirmed that above solution worked for me too, otherwise file transfers window would have the file in it, but not download a thing.
