Where does the IRC commands output appear?
Hello!
I am a new Linux user. On Windows I used to use mIRC and I am now trying your promising Xchat-Gnome.
The main problem is that I can't seem to understand where all the IRC commands output are displayed!
Basic operation like /nickserv identify password or /whois ... Where does the server return those infos?
Thanks!

When you connect to a server there should be a server window. If you have also connected to a channel there are now two windows open in tabs. Server commands will output in the server tab which could be hidden if you are looking in a channel tab. If you don't have more than one tab open then I'm not sure. I guess just make sure you are connected to a server and you see something in the xchat window.

Hello again, jim!
I realise now what exactly happens: sometimes, randomly after a certain time, xchat-gnome will produce a sound and the server window will be there but showing the content of the last window you have looked at before switching to it.
In short: it's a bug and a rather big one...
