XChat-GNOME IRC Chat server question

I would like to know how I add my own server to the program. I am trying to connect to a site server, but don't know how to do it. I also want it there so when I log on to irc I can join right away.

To add a network:
1. Under the "Edit" menu select "Preferences"
2. Choose "Networks" on the left
3. Choose "Add" and fill in the appropriate details.

To automatically join a channel when you connect.
1. join the channel as you would normally (I use /join #channel-name)
2. on the left hand side where you see the name of the channel, right click the channel and select "auto-join on connect"
