How do I change port in x-chat

My company blocks the usual 6667 port. How do I change it to use one of the other ports?

You may start xchat-gnome with the statup option

 --url=irc://server:port/channel

Example:

$ xchat-gnome --url=irc://irc.freenode.net:6666/ubuntu

Edit the server URL to hostname/portnumber. Not sure why they used / rather than :, but that works.
