wpasupplicant frequent RSN WiFi disconnects

Asked by Magesh Dhasayyan

I've filed a bug with my understanding of what was happening (by observing /var/log/syslog during disconnects) - http://w1.fi/bugz/show_bug.cgi?id=484

Would be helpful to know if anyone else is facing similar issues. My understanding is that a NEW-AP (new authentication point) authentication times out (while still being in COMPLETED state with CURR-AP (current authentication point)). During the next scan, there is a mismatch of state for CURR-AP (state is changed from COMPLETED->AUTHENTICATING, but after authentication timeout, it's NOT reverted back to COMPLETED), and the wpasupplicant de-authenticates with CURR-AP (without the knowledge that the previous state was in fact COMPLETED).

I looked at the code and before I try out hacks, would like to understand if there are other workarounds for this issue.

Thanks,

Try disabling IPv6 using the boot option:

ipv6.disable=1

also try disabling N speed on the driver module

Can you help with this problem?
