Changing audio bit rate?

Asked by Theatre-X

When converting videos to audio files, is there a way I can change the bit rate instead of the standard 128kbps? I usually convert to OGG since the quality is SOOOOO much better :)

Thanks!

What are you converting from? If you convert to a higher bitrate OGG you are still using a low bitrate initial file, also converting to OGG which is a lossy format you will further lose quality. Where are you getting the initial audio from?

I am usually converting from MP4 to OGG. And oh! I didn't know that.
Thanks for sharing me :) So which format would you say has the best
quality? FLAC, OGG, or MP3?

Depends on bitrate entirely. A 1024kb/s MP3 will be better than a 32kb/s OGG

Can you help with this problem?
