WinFF error while converting

Asked by NakiMum

I tried to convert a .dv (edited a video in Kino) to .avi (some people just cannot live without windows), but I get the following error message

Once a press Enter the window just closes. I checked in Synaptic, libmpslame isn't installed.

Hi there actionparsnip
txs for that. Now I've got the tedious task of converting all our home vids for the family LOL
Would be great if they'd just all switch to Ubuntu . . . in a perfect world hey?

Cheers
Tanya

If you ditch crappy winff and use the command line, you can script the conversion and go to the pub. The system can sequentially find files based on what you define and/or grep and action the command you specify on them rather than having to do it manually for each file. Linux is very good at automating repetitive tasks like that.

Once again - great advice.

Will do that, didn't even think of automating it LOL.
