I think you have big problems with 2009. See http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11538 which says, basically, it doesn't work at the moment.

If you install PlayOnLinux, which in Karmic is available from Repository. It supports the install of:
Autocad 2000,2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, Electrical 2008, Mechanical 2008 and R14.

Do you dual boot? Can you virtualise Windows within Linux?

Doesn't work with wine:

You can either:
1) Look for an alternative which is a linux app
or
2) Install virtualbox, install windows to a virtualbox. This requires a windows license and install media. You can then run it under that.
3) Dual boot

Linux is not always the tool despite what fanboys say. If the main use of the system is the autocad app then you may as well dual boot or just install windows as Linux doesn't give what you need. Either way you will need a windows license as it simply will not run. You can use apps like dia to run a cad app natively. There may be a native app which is very similar to autocad.
