Can't install Incredible Mail

Asked by Sandy Wiggins

I thought I just did this, however, I paid for Incredible Mail on 10/20/09 of this year. At that time I had Dell Windows Vista.
I have since had another system installed, which is wonderful, however, I really would like to use Incredible Mail, it's fun and makes sending e-mail to family fun with a little humor.
It will not download.
It says Error.
That's all I have to say about that.
Would you be willing to send to me a detailed message that I can print out and try again to install Incredible Mail.
If not, I will need to call my computer expert again.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
Respectfully submitted,
Sandy K. Wiggins

Alright, so let's see if I understand the problem right: You installed
Incredible mail, then moved to Ubuntu. Now you want to install it on Ubuntu. I
don't think Incredible Mail has linux downloads, so it won't work on Ubuntu,
Ubuntu uses .deb files which are similar to installer files in Windows. If you
are looking for a good email client, I recommend using evolution, it will
serve all your needs and its pretty awesome

Dear Sandy K. Wiggins,

I presume that you are referring to IncrediMail; I cannot find any legitimate program called Incredible Mail. In any case, read:

If IncrediMail is what you have purchased, and if you wish to continue using any Linux version (which is what I assume you mean when you state that you have had another system installed), you will have to use another e-mail service such as Evolution or Thunderbird; I hope you didn't pay too much for IncrediMail.

When I used Windows, I too paid for and used IncrediMail for a while (it cost $29.95 at the time) until several of my friends asked me to not use it when e-mailing them. It evidently caused some annoying problems on their computers (though, by now, I should hope that they have fixed whatever was wrong). $29.95 down the drain! Well, live and learn. Of course that's one of the things I particularly like about Ubuntu Linux, which is what I use. Virtually ALL of the programs offered in the repositories are free of charge as is the entire operating system - so you can try anything you like and there is no financial requirement at all.

Thank you, I do have evolution mail. I wanted to download Incredimail,
due to the fact that I paid for it. If I can't use it, I can't use it. I
don't have problems with evolution mail. Incredimail has fun things to
add to e-mails, that's all.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter, you help is much
appreciated.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Sandy Wiggins
