how do i change preffered owner in wine system

Asked by Steve Meyer

When I install MS Project 2000 thru wine, it installs ok, but when I launch thru wine the CD Key window pops up and asks me to "change preferred owner in ~/.wine/sytem.reg" under user, and to "change preferred organization in ~/.wine/system.reg". How do I do this? I am running Ubuntu only, with no dual boot.

Got into regedit, but cannot find portions to change. A number of the MSProject folders are labelled as "value not set".. assume this may be the problem. Unforunately I am no programmer, so have no idea what to do or what values to set.
Folders are: MSProject.Serializers; MSProject.ALL.9; MSProject.basic.9; MSProject.BMP.9; MSProject.Calendars.9; MSProject.CSVDISP8.9; MSProject.DIB.9 etc etc

Sorry to be so dense

You need a more precise guide. There will be a guide.

I just looked on the AppDB and it doesnt work:

Open Applications > Wine > Configure Wine

Then navigate to the About tab. There are two fields you can edit, and then press Ok.

And this isn't required, anyway. It's just a customization.

Can you help with this problem?
