microsoft can be installed but not working

My laptop was an preloaded ubuntu and i'm able to install microsoft office after installing and configring wine tool but after installing the application were not loading ,and need some proper guidance or step by step installation instruction to complete this task and is ther any way to add pst file in the
evolution mail.need help

I think you might have more joy trying to use OpenOffice which should already be in your

Applications - Office

menu on the top taskbar. You can configure it to default to Microsquish formats quite easily from the "Tools" menu in any of the OpenOffice packages

Tools - Options - Load/Save

First the general options at the bottom of "general" use the two drop-downs to look 1 or 2 places up and set these all to microsoft formats - not as templates, the one above templates. Net have a look in "VBA Properties" & "Microsoft Office". Hopefully that should sort it all out.

I think microsquish office can export all the stuff that is inside the pst file - address books, folders, calendars and so on - which allows Evolution to re-import them. Evolution might have a much easier way of pulling all this info in of course
