when i put a cd rom in such as a game it says error cannot find autorun

i put in a copy of dungeon keeper 2, and it keeps telling me error running auto run how do i get around this. i am completly new to linus as it came with my new pc. i dont have a clue when i comes to putting in comands so really need a step by step guide if anyone can help. thankyou.

First of all, the game you are trying to run (like many retail videogame titles out there) is developed for Windows, not Ubuntu. They are entirely different platforms.

There are however methods to get this game running on Ubuntu by launching it through a program called WINE.

According to the WINE application database, this title is playable under WINE (with a few issues). See here for details and a short installation tutorial:
