hi
I believe that that wine will run it, It is a windows emulator
or an better version of wine will called code weavers
http://www.winehq.org/
to install wine the free one.
in terminal type
sudo apt-get install wine

I not sure if it will run it about I pretty sure code weavers will.
but you have to pay for it , the best part you can try it and see if it will work.

you will find it t the top of the link I sent you they the information about both are at that web site. as they make both programs.
Hope this is of some help, and welcome to Ubutntu.
Regards Neil

Use kmymoney2 instead of Quicken seems the right solution with Ubuntu

To install kmymoney open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kmymoney2

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Here all questions about https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kmymoney2

Hope this helps

Hello Neil,
thank you for your answer, but I am new in Linux, and/or I must do something wrong. It seems that "wine" does not work for me.

I am going to try an other solution that marcobra is offering, something equivalent to quicken. I have check also with them, but they have so far no programs that works with Linux. It's a pity !
a great thanks for your time and efforts.
best regards

thank you, Marcobra and also Neil for your time and efforts. Wine did not work for me, and I am using Kmymoney2 as you suggested.
I have to say that I am new in Linux, and I may have done something wrong when trying "Wine", but I will keep trying, as I really enjoy working with Linux. I had enough of the continuous breakdown and viruses on WinXP.
Thank you again
